Everything, including one’s self, that exists in the Universe is a manifestation of energy. This energy is called Qi. Qi is the invisible force that gives life to all living matter. Qi is our vital life force, and the force of qi in our body depends on the balance of yin and yang. Disharmony of qi leads to disease, pain and imbalance. At Qi, Inc., our intention is to bring this natural balance of qi, yin and yang, back to your body.
We think of our office as a sanctuary of relaxation, rejuvenation, and privacy. Every detail & color is deliberate.

Dr. Alix Bjorklund has been in private practice in Santa Fe New Mexico since 1993.
“I utilize the traditions and wisdom of Chinese and Asian Medicine and alternative medicine, including Acupuncture, Ear Acupuncture, Five Element Theory, Chinese herbology, and Massage; while also utilizing modern biomedicine techniques; including cold laser therapy, electric acupuncture, mico-current alpha-stimulation. Qi, Inc. has a large pharmacy of Chinese herbs and supplements. I specialize in women’s health, autoimmune disorders, oncology, and spiritual emotional health including anxiety and depression; in addition to treating everything from allergies to pain to sports injuries. I am here to guide you through nutrition and lifestyle counseling, stress management, mindfulness and meditation coaching. These are all integral aspects of your treatment plan.
My studies of Taoism, Buddhism, meditation, mindfulness, and psychology guide my practice. These interests have led me to travel in Burma, China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Japan. When I am not at the clinic, I am outdoors exploring the mountains, I have a profound love of nature. Loving kindness, compassion and living in harmony are the guiding principles that direct my daily life and practice.”

The first writing that is known about Chinese Medicine, Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic, is compiled by unknown authors and dates from 200 and 100 B.C. The authors speak to how natural law operates upon the cosmos, the human body, and the connection between them.
The Web That has No Weaver, written by Ted J. Kaptchuk in 1983 uses this explanation; “The western physician starts with a symptom, then searches for the underlying mechanism-a precise cause for a specific disease. The Chinese physician, in contrast, directs his or her attention to the complete physiological and psychological individual. All relevant information including the symptom as well as the patient’s other characteristics, is gathered and woven together until it forms what Chinese medicine calls a ‘pattern of disharmony’.”
It was this statement which completely captured my attention, and in part led me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine.
